Drain Your Outdoor Spigot

SpigotWinter_NF_2023

Brrrr… you’ve probably noticed the drop in temps, so has your home’s plumbing! This is a friendly reminder to get ahead of the winter woes and DRAIN your spigot now before the temperature drops again! If water freezes in your pipes it can lead to a flooded basement and expensive repairs.

Another helpful tip: keep doors to your utility room open to let warm air circulate. If your basement or utility closet is too cold, your meter or plumbing could freeze.

Every year we hear about homeowners who fall victim to frozen pipes and are left with costly repairs.
