Bach to Rock Opens Location in Coon Rapids

A brand new music school is now open in Coon Rapids. The business community gathered Tuesday afternoon for the official ribbon cutting ceremony at Bach to Rock.

The school, which also has a location in Plymouth, gives lessons on a variety of instruments for both kids and adults. There's early childhood classes for those as young as toddlers. And for the older kids, clubs and camps.

"From ages seven and up we do private lessons, then we get kids performing in bands,” said Judy Shoulak, co-owner of Bach to Rock. “We feel that when kids are able to perform music in the genre that they love they do better."

This summer, the Coon Rapids Recreation Department is partnering with Bach to Rock on youth music programming. Classes for kids include Rock City World Tour Camp, Rock Band Camp and Glee Club Camp.
