Record-Breaking 'Fill the Boot' Drive for CRFD

Members of the Coon Rapids Fire Department collected a record amount of money in their annual 'Fill the Boot' drive for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  

Coon Rapids fire chief John Piper said Thursday that firefighters collected more than $45,000 during the three-day campaign. 

Firefighters collected cash and coins from passing motorists at the corner of Main Street and Northdale Boulevard from June 28-30.
