After months and months of construction, work is nearly complete on the first phase of renovations at Coon Rapids High School.
On Thursday morning, the new front entrance opened to students. The new entrance has been under construction for more than a year and will house the main office and student support services. Principal Annette Ziegler says the kids are excited about the modern look and feel of the space.
A new activities entrance for the field house will be part of phase two which gets underway next spring. Phase two also includes a new choir room and fitness center. The old main office area will be turned into additional classrooms.
