The investigation continues into a fire over the weekend that destroyed the home of a man and woman who had just moved in.
The flames broke out around 11:20 a.m. Sunday at this home on the 3600 block of 124th Circle. Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames through the roof. Investigators say the fire started in the garage and spread quickly through the attic of the home, causing part of the roof to collapse in the living area.
Although the official cause of the fire is undetermined, investigators believe it was likely some type of electrical fire. A woman inside the home at the time made it out safely but three pets died.
The couple had just moved from another state. The Red Cross is assisting the couple while they look for temporary housing.
