The city is moving forward with plans to redevelop Lions Coon Creek Park next year... the last park to be renovated with proceeds from the park referendum. On Tuesday night, the City Council awarded the design service agreement to WSB and Associates Incorporated in the amount of $110,000. Following feedback from the public last fall, the concept plan has been modified a bit including a reduction in the number of parking spaces. The original plan called for 105 spots. The new version shows parking for approximately 75 vehicles. Also, the pedestrian bridge over Coon Creek is proposed to be replaced with a new 10 foot wide steel truss bridge.
