City Volunteer Opportunities
The City has opportunities for groups and individuals to help with the city’s parks and trails system.
The City Council appoints citizens who serve voluntarily on advisory boards and commissions of the City.
If you are interested in becoming a member of an advisory board, please fill out the Commission Application.
Fire Department Explorers (associated with the Boy Scouts of America) is a program designed for males and females ages 14-20, who have an interest in firefighting.

The Recycling Center is always looking for volunteers to assist with day-to-day operations as well as special events.
Coon Rapids Police Reserve officers assist the Coon Rapids Police Department throughout the city in staffing and performing many non-enforcement functions.

Coon Rapids Senior Services would not function without the help of volunteers. Over 300 volunteers donate over 30,000 hours each year to the Senior Center. Projects range from office mailings, van driving, answering phones and much more.
